INTRODUCTION

Dr. Himika Chawla is a super-specialist practicing as a consultant in endocrinology and diabetes at PSRI Hospital in South Delhi. She has done her D.M. in endocrinology and metabolism from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. She has over 5 years of experience managing patients with general medicine and endocrinology. She specializes in the full management of diabetes in both adult and paediatric patients. She has experience using CGMS and insulin pump devices in the advanced management of diabetes. With a background in medicine, she is skilled in treating thyroid conditions, metabolic bone disorders such as osteoporosis and vitamin D deficiency, male infertility, gynecomastia, female polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD), irregular menstruation, male pattern hair growth, and infertility. She has treated several rare endocrine conditions, including hypopituitarism, hyperparathyroidism, Cushing’s disease, and acromegaly. In addition, she offers consulting for all kinds of paediatric endocrine diseases, including growth disorders (gigantism, short height) and sexual development disorders in kids. She has also been actively involved in the assessment and management of metabolic diseases such as obesity, hyperlipidaemia, young-onset hypertension, and recurrent renal stones. She has won several prestigious awards throughout her medical career and topped both MBBS and MD Medicine. She has several high-impact publications in national and international journals.
