INTRODUCTION:
Dr. Tapan Ghose graduated from Silchar Medical College with honours in biochemistry. For earning the best grades in medicine in 1988, he was given the Dr. Anjan Chakravorty Memorial Medal. He received his MD (Medicine) in 1993 after completing postgraduate training in internal medicine at Assam Medical College in Dibrugarh. In 1993, the National Board of Examinations granted him a DNB (Medicine). Subsequently, he was awarded a DNB (Cardiology) in 2001 by the National Board of Examination after successful training at Batra Hospital Medical Research Centre, New Delhi. In 2004, the National Board also granted him a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
He has held positions as Director Head of Cardiology at Paras Hospital in Gurgaon and Principal Consultant of interventional Cardiology at Fortis, Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi, and Fortis Flt. Lt. Rajan Dhall Hospital, New Delhi. He is the Director and Head of Cardiology at FHVK at the moment. He is well-versed in coronary intervention cardiac electrophysiology and device implantation. He teaches postgraduate students in Medical Research and is actively involved in the program. He has participated in various national and international trial registries. He is a fellow of the Cardiological Society of India, a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a fellow of the Society of Cardiological Society of India, a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a fellow of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, USA.
