INTRODUCTION:

Dr. Tarun Sharma is a well-known neurosurgeon with expertise in Brain & Spine Surgery. He completed his neurosurgical training at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (P.G.I. Chandigarh) in 2008. He pursued a clinical fellowship in the Division of Neuro-oncology, Toronto Western Hospital, following his completion of his neurosurgery residency at the University of Toronto, Canada. He also had an opportunity for a Visiting fellowship in paediatric neurosurgery at the Hospital for Sick Kids, Toronto (Canada). He was employed by Indra Gandhi Medical College Shimla (H.P.) as an assistant professor of neurosurgery. 

He has also worked as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at various reputed hospitals in north India. He has spent the previous twelve years in practice in Faridabad. In the Faridabad region, he is the first neurosurgeon to do an awake craniotomy in order to remove a brain tumor. He has authored lots of publications and book chapters. He has a rich experience in neurosurgery & performed more than fifteen thousand brain & spine surgeries. He is skilled in performing various spine and brain procedures. His areas of interest are minimally invasive spine surgery, endoscopic neurosurgery, and awake craniotomy for brain malignancies.
