INTRODUCTION:

Dr. Punit Singla has performed complex cases in HPB surgery and more than 1500 liver transplantation including young paediatric cases needing reduced graft, Living donor liver transplants with IVC replacement, Transplants with complex anatomy, ABO incompatible liver transplant, resection of large liver tumors, urgent/emergency liver transplants for liver failure cases, simultaneous liver and kidney transplantation, and split liver transplantation in cadaveric livers Served as an Associate Consultant at the Institute of Liver Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine at Medanta, The Medical City. He established and raised the liver transplant program at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram in 2014.

He improved the liver transplant team when he joined Dayanand Medical College and Hospital in Ludhiana in 2017. The group created the first autonomous living donor liver transplant program in the Indian state of Punjab thanks to his vision and leadership. The staff received training from him on how to manage a wide range of challenging situations in the intensive care unit and operating room. The team performed liver transplants on both adults and children. In cases of acute liver failure, he also performed liver transplants quickly.
