INTRODUCTION:

Dr. Monish Nakra pursued his graduation and post-graduation in anaesthesiology from the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. He then went for his super specialization in the field of critical care medicine and obtained an additional qualification of IDCCM from the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM). His special interest areas are ARDS, including ventilatory management, sepsis, hemodynamic monitoring, antibiotic stewardship, and prevention of hospital-acquired infections. He served in premier Armed Forces hospitals for 28 years and has been instrumental in starting the DNB program in critical care medicine in Army Hospitals (R&R). As a post-graduate teacher and examiner, he has been a mentor to several post-graduate students. He is also an instructor of BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and FCCS. He is a renowned speaker and has presented at various national critical care conferences. He has several research publications in national and international journals and has contributed to chapters in books.
