INTRODUCTION:

Dr. Amit Bhasin is a gold medalist for best outgoing university student in gastroenterology and holds distinctions in various subjects during his MBBS. He was a recipient of the ICMR Award for Thesis during his MD. He has worked as an independent endoscopist, performing diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy at Oxford University Hospitals, UK. He was a Senior Clinical Fellow at the Department of Translational Gastroenterology Unit at the prestigious John Radcliff Hospital, Oxford University Hospitals, Oxford, NHS Trust, UK, before returning to India. His training in Oxford has been certified by the Royal College of Physicians of London, UK. 

He has also undergone training in the field of gastroenterology and digestive endoscopy in various hospitals of national and international repute. He has been a visiting fellow for training in various advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures at the European Endoscopy Training Centre at Gemelli Hospital, Catholic University, School of Medicine in Rome, Italy. He has a certificate for hands-on training in ERCP at Meerut. He has been a sub-investigator in Oxford University Hospitals, UK, in international clinical trials where he learned about the use of novel drugs in complex IBD. He has completed his senior residency at AIIMS, New Delhi. 

He has been a course faculty member at the International Council for Critical Emergency Sonography, AIIMS, New Delhi. He has numerous research publications in various national and international journals in the medical field to his name. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of London, UK (associate), the General Medical Council (GMC), UK (full permanent registration), the International Member-American College of Gastroenterology, the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy of India, the Indian Society of Gastroenterology, and the World Endoscopy Organisation.
