INTRODUCTION:

Dr. Amit Kumar Chaurasia has graduated from three of India’s top institutes. He completed his studies at JIPMER (Pondicherry), AIIMS (New Delhi) for his MD in Internal Medicine, and SCTIMST (Trivandrum) for his DM in Cardiology. He then completed his fellowship in structural heart disease and complex coronary heart disease at GOKI in Budapest, Hungary, where he spent roughly three years of employment.
With extensive experience in adult, pediatric, and peripheral procedures, he is a committed interventional cardiologist. For his work in the field of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR), he has received recognition both domestically and internationally. He is a dedicated interventional cardiologist with vast experience in Adult, Paediatric, and Peripheral interventions. For his work in the field of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR), he has received recognition both domestically and internationally. He is among the first TAVI proctors in India. He is credited with performing one of the most TAVI/TAVR procedures in India (more than 1000).In India’s tiniest conduit, he has also carried surgical Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Replacement (TPVR).He has a particular interest in BMV and Mitra-clip and performs Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacements (TMVR) as well.To his credit, he has also had more than fifty left atrial appendage closures. He has assisted in training numerous instructors and served as a course director, co-director, and faculty member for numerous national and international conferences and train many doctors in these procedures in India and Abroad.

In addition to TAVI, he often leads seminars at different locations and is a specialist in other challenging operations such as chronic complete occlusion (CTO), left main intervention, and other sophisticated coronary interventions. To date, he has completed over 10,000 cardiac surgeries. He also closes pulmonary AV fistula devices and does ASD, VSD, and PDA procedures.Performing carotid and aortoiliac procedures, such as TEVAR and EVAR for aortic aneurysm and dissection, is of particular interest to him. He also has a good experience in advanced catheter based treatment of hypertension (Renal artery denervation).
