INTRODUCTION:

Dr. Gaurav Dixit received his MBBS and MD in general medicine from PGIMS Rohtak in 2008. After completing his senior residency in general medicine at AIIMS Delhi, he started working at the department of clinical haematology in 2011. It was then that he developed an interest in the diagnosis and management of blood disorders. He started his DM program at CMC Vellore in 2012, which boasts one of the top haematology departments in the nation. Before leaving this busy transplant hospital in 2015, he worked there for three years. After four years each at Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, and Action Cancer Hospital, he joins Artemis Hospital. He played a key role in both institutes’ establishment of bone marrow transplant programs.

The Mayo Clinic, U.S.A. granted him a professional certificate in multiple myeloma in 2020. His clinical aptitude and scientific knowledge are exceptional. He is aware of the most recent developments in the field of haematology and always treats his patients in compliance with accepted global standards. He has a unique niche in the field of haemato-oncology because of his extraordinary knowledge of it. No matter where he has worked, the department has benefited from his teaching abilities. Leukaemia, myeloma, lymphoma, and aplastic anaemia are his areas of interest. As a member of several local and international organizations, Dr. Gaurav is constantly willing to participate, learn new abilities, and provide a hand. In October 2022, he successfully completed the first bone marrow transplant in Kenya.
