INTRODUCTION:
In addition to working extensively on fecal microbiota transplantation, Dr. Jamwal has also studied advanced endoscopy procedures in liver diseases, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, biliary tract problems, and fatty liver. The range of NAFLD, bile and its metabolism, enterohepatic circulation, the biliary tree (which includes the pancreas, bile duct, and gall bladder), GI bleeding, and portal hemodynamics are among his clinical interests. He was employed at Dharamshila Narayana Super Specialty Hospital as a senior consultant and clinical lead in the gastroenterology department of the center for liver and digestive diseases before joining Artemis. He was employed as an assistant professor at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences prior to this.
At several international academic and business conferences, such as the Indo US Biopharma Summit, DDW, APDW, and AASLD, he has spoken on behalf of India. He traveled to Kyushu University in Japan during his time at ILBS to receive training in third space endoscopy and mucosal dissection. He also went to the esteemed Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, USA, where he visited the Department of Advanced Endoscopy and learnt how to use mucosal suturing devices and sophisticated ERCP procedures. He has a long list of articles in both national and international periodicals.
