INTRODUCTION:

An illustrious academician, a visionary oncologist, a name that needs no introduction in the field of Stem Cells Transplant, Dr. Lalit Kumar was Head of the Department of Medical Oncology and Professor at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. He has worked in the fields of blood stem cell and bone marrow transplantation, gynaecological malignancies (where he researched the role of neo-adjuvant chemotherapy), haematological malignancies (multiple myeloma, chronic myeloid leukaemia, infections in cancer, ovary, and cervix). It is well known that he created affordable stem cell and bone marrow transplantation treatment regimens.
