INTRODUCTION:

At the prestigious Dr. R. P. Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences at AIIMS, Dr. Naginder Vashisht finished his postgraduate training. The same institute provided him with additional training in vitreoretinal and uvea. Under the supervision of Dr. Robert Morris, MD, at Retina Specialist of Alabama, USA, he completed an observer ship in vitreoretinal and ocular trauma. He received fellowships from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the International Council of Ophthalmology (London).

In ophthalmology, he is particularly interested in phacoemulsification, uvea, vitreo-retina, and ocular trauma. He is the recipient of multiple advanced and difficult retinal procedures. His areas of expertise include treating diabetic eye disorders, treating eye damage, and treating retinopathy of prematurity (ROP).

Along with his wide range of clinical practice, he has been actively involved in academia. He has given papers, posters, and films on scientific research at numerous national and international conferences and has been invited to teach.
