INTRODUCTION:
Dr. Nitin Kumar Parashar is a consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist at Artemis Hospital. His training was completed in esteemed hospitals and central institutes in India, including the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi (DM Cardiology) and PGIMER, Chandigarh (MD General Medicine). After that, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), located in Trivandrum, on cardiac electrophysiology. In the Department of Cardiology at SCTIMST and AIIMS, New Delhi, he has held the position of Assistant Professor. In this role, he has conducted a variety of independent procedures, including electrophysiological studies, radiofrequency ablation (for atrial fibrillation, ventricular ectopics, atrial flutter, atrial tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, and ventricular tachycardia in both structurally normal and abnormal hearts), cryoablation for atrial fibrillation, device implantations (pacemaker, intracardiac-cardioverter defibrillator, CRTP/D, and conduction system [left bundle branch area] pacing), angiographies, angioplasties, and various structural heart interventions. He is particularly interested in doing structural cardiac interventions such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement/implantation, ablations of complex arrhythmias, angioplasties of bifurcation lesions and chronic complete occlusions, and conduction system pacing and biventricular pacing. More than thirty of his publications have appeared in internationally recognized journals. To help physicians preparing to enter cardiology as a super specialty branch, he wrote a book titled “Review of Cardiology”. Additionally, he has presented his findings at international conferences held by the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society (APHRS), the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), and the American College of Cardiology (ACC).As a contributing member of the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society (APHRS) and the Indian Heart Rhythm Society (IHRS), he continues to publish his research, give speeches, and organize symposiums to encourage young cardiologists to study actively.
