INTRODUCTION:

She is an eminent and renowned Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with 35+ years’ experience. She was a professor at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, working in the department of obstetrics and gynaecology. She was also a senior faculty member in the department’s division of fetal medicine. She is an astute clinician, able surgeon and proficient teacher. She has extensive experience of operating cases laparoscopically along with conventional technique. In her specialty, she has effectively handled difficult situations that have been referred from all around the nation. She also won a national prize for developing the groundbreaking “Intraamniotic surfactant therapy” for premature labour, which has helped save the lives of preterm infants. She has also established various therapies first time in India like Metformin and myoinositol in PCOS. The immunomodulatory impact of micronized progesterone and its homocysteine level, cytokines level, and abnormal uterine haemorrhage are all associated with repeated abortions, while gabapentin is associated with hot flashes. She is among the select few specialists who began ablation during several pregnancies. She is credited with developing a number of medical therapies for abnormal uterine bleeding and creating Indian perspective recommendations on the subject, which have been adopted by others. Arranged a number of national and international conferences, including live workshops in fetal medicine and training sessions for laparoscopic procedures. Gave countless scientific speeches as a faculty member at conferences and academic forums, and she is the author of over 300 international and domestic publications. She has participated in over a hundred thesis and research projects. She has served as the chief editor of the Indian Journal of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, a key reviewer and contributor to numerous international and national journals, and she has presented more than 200 articles in national and international forums.
