INTRODUCTION:

Dr Paritosh S Gupta is a Head of the Department, General, Min Access & Bariatric Surgery at Artemis Hospitals, Sector 51, Gurgaon, India. After starting as a Senior Consultant in December 2012, he was elevated to the position of Head of Department. He held positions as Head of the Department of General Surgery and Min Access Surgery at Nova Specialty Surgery and Indian Spinal Injury Center before coming to this hospital. From 2010 to 2011, he served as the department head at Columbia Asia Hospital GBD. He has worked as Sr Consultant in Dept of General Surgery & MAS Max Super Specialty Hospital, Saket from 2007 to 2010. In addition, he served as a Senior Consultant at Fortis Hospital in Vasant Kunj from 2005 to 2007.He has spent the last 17 years practicing in Delhi and the NCR. He is regarded as one of the most skilled and knowledgeable surgeons in his area, having completed over 14,000 successful procedures. He received his degree from Sh. M. P. Shah Medical College in Jamnagar, Gujarat, and also holds a postgraduate MS in General Surgery from the same institution. The National Academy of Medical Sciences, whose founder and chairperson was Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam Saheb, has awarded him a distinguished membership. He completed the one-year “Leadership & Management Executive Programme” at IIM Calcutta and was granted this distinction in 2016.The Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India, or AMASI, has granted him the title of Fellow Minimal Access Surgery, or FMAS. Due to his contributions to the field of general surgery, he is also recognized with an award from the Fellow Association of Surgeons of India (FAIS).

At the esteemed Ethicon Institute of Surgical Education (EISE), in New Delhi, he serves as a faculty member and trainer. Also, he has instructed numerous surgeons in laparoscopic solid organ surgery. As an instructor at Artemis Hospitals, he actively participates in the education and training of DNB Postgraduate students in General Surgery, which are assigned by the National Board.Through his persistent efforts, the National Board has also authorized the department working under his direction to begin the FNB (Minimal Access Surgery) Super Specialty Teaching Program in 2018.Additionally, he teaches at the Fellowship of Indian Associations of Gastro-Endoscopic Surgeons, or FIAGES.

He is a member of the Infection Control committee and actively participates in the Renal Transplant committee. He has been an integral element of the Operation Theatre committee, actively participating and devising plans to guarantee the smooth operation of the theaters in order to optimize production. His leadership and managerial abilities have made the operation theater more efficient and reduced the amount of time lost during the overtime turnaround. He is registered to practice medicine (general surgery and minimal access surgery) with the Delhi Medical Council and the Gujarat Medical Council. He participates actively in Delhi Medical Association events.
