INTRODUCTION:

With approximately 4000 personal PCNL procedures conducted, Dr. S. V. Kotwal has vast knowledge in all areas of urology. He has also performed 300 kidney transplants. He was the first in the military to perform microsurgery and has extensive training in both paediatric and uro-oncology urology. He has received recognition on a global scale for his work in vascular repair and endo-urology. He has carried out a number of intricate genito-urinary reconstructive procedures, such as the most recent “sex change” or “sex reassignment” procedure. He has actively participated in regional, national, and worldwide professional conferences in addition to leading practical workshops across the nation.

He is an approved postgraduate instructor at Delhi University, the University of Pune, and the MS (General Surgery) and M.Ch. (Urology) degrees. He is a visiting professor of urology at CMC, Ludhiana, and Guwahati Medical College in addition to being an inspector and examiner for the National Board of Examinations.
