INTRODUCTION:

He passed his MBBS examination in August 2001 with 14 gold medals in all, and DNB (General Surgery) in 2006. In January 2014, he started working as a DNB (Neurosurgery) trainee at Medanta, the Medicity, Gurgaon. There, he was exposed to state-of-the-art equipment, and in December 2016, he passed the Diplomate of National Board in Neurosurgery. In February 2017, he started working as an Associate Consultant in the Neurosurgery Department at Artemis Hospital in Gurgaon. He is currently employed by the Artemis Agrim Institute of Neurosciences as a Consultant in the Neurosurgery Department. He collaborates with a committed team to handle nearly all complex problems involving the skull and spine; among his patients are many foreigners.

He is very interested in neuromodulation, functional neurosurgery, and stereotactic surgery. In addition, he completed an advanced fellowship under renowned Dr. (Prof.) Konstantin Slavin in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) from October to November 2018. He has already started pursuing his interest and is acting sincerely in that regard. His team often performs stereotactic radiosurgery, minimally invasive and complex spine surgery, deep brain stimulation, and intrathecal pumps. He has independently performed spinal cord stimulation in two cases. In order to help establish neuromodulation as a subspecialty within neurosurgery, he hopes to create a specialized centre for it as a component.

  • Recipient of two Governor’s Gold Medals from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, India for being the best student overall and throughout the MBBS program.
  • University Bronze Medal for earning 66.87% in MBBS from Bundelkhand University in Jhansi, India.
