INTRODUCTION:
Dr. S. R. Goyal has a wealth of experience in the fields of critical care, immunology, sleep medicine, tuberculosis, and respiratory medicine. Equipped with flawless credentials and astute diagnostic skills, he is passionate about Interventional Pulmonology and works nonstop to propel this profession forward. With the help of the Thoracic Surgery team, he hopes to launch an effective and long-lasting lung transplantation program soon so that patients suffering from end-stage lung diseases including COPD, ILD, Bronchiolitis, etc. can benefit. He was an associate consultant at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi before to joining Artemis.
He has finished his residency under Prof. (Dr.) J. C. Suri, who is credited with founding the nation’s first sleep laboratory, at VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi in the Department of Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Medicine. At both national and international academic forums, including NAPCON, TESCON, PULMOCON, ICONIC, Indian Science Congress (ISC), and European Respiratory Society World Congress (ERS), he has presented his work. He attended National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore, while he was employed at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital to gain instruction from Prof. Pyng Lee in bronchial thermormoplasty and bronchoscopy lung volume reduction (BLVRS).trained in 2014 under Irish physician Dr. David Breen in the techniques of rigid bronchoscopy and thoracoscopy.
Additionally, he participated in an advanced interventional pulmonary and thoracic ultrasonography course at ERS in Munich, Germany, where he learned how to put endobronchial stents and perform endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS, or linear and radial probe).At Pmocrit – All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), in India, he completed training in sleep medicine (diagnosis plus management).Accredited in Immunology-Based Respiratory Allergy Diagnosis and Management by Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, New Delhi, India. American Heart Association (AHA) was the BLS-ACLS service provider in 2017.
