INTRODUCTION:

One of the biggest stem cell transplant programs in the private sector in north India was founded by the renowned and qualified medical oncologist Dr. Ashok K. Vaid. He is currently the Chairman for Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Stem Cell Transplant at the Medanta Cancer Institute in Gurugram, India. In addition to dendritic cell treatment and stem cell transplantation, he contributes over 30 years of clinical expertise with a focus on precision onco therapeutics, immunotherapy guidance, and cancer genomics. Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University in Chennai, India granted him a Doctor of Medicine (DM) degree in Medical Oncology. He has authored several peer-reviewed articles, and has been actively involved in clinical research and has participated in over 50 international and national studies as Principal Investigator. In addition, he is a postgraduate instructor who is registered with the National Board of Examinations and is a member of the university examiner panel for medical oncology super specialty courses. He was conferred the prestigious Padma Shri Award by the President of India, in the year 2009 for his outstanding contribution to the field of medicine.
