INTRODUCTION:

Dr. Rajiv Parakh trained in vascular surgery in the United Kingdom after completing his fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons in 1986. He then returned to India in 1990 to establish one of the first autonomous departments of vascular surgery. In addition to being a life member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, he is the founder of the Vascular Society of India and the Endo-vascular Intervention Society of India. In 2007, he was chosen to serve as the International Society for Vascular Surgery’s secretary in New York, USA. Started the first government-recognised teaching program in vascular surgery (N.B.E).
