INTRODUCTION:

Physician Dr. Sanjay Mittal began his medical training at LLRM Medical College in Meerut in 1982 and graduated with his MD in medicine from the same institution in 1991.In 1994, he completed his DM in cardiology at King George Medical College in Lucknow. He began his professional career in 1994 as a cardiologist at Escorts Heart Institute. He has been employed at Medanta the Medicity in Gurgaon for the last ten years as the Senior Director of Clinical Cardiology and Research. Additionally, he has worked in a variety of hospitals, labs, and medical facilities overseas, including the New England Medical Center in Boston, the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York, the Echocardiography Lab in Cleveland, and other institutions in Buffalo, New Hampshire, Italy, Germany, and other places. An avid clinician, teacher and a hybrid with great insights into basic and clinical research, Dr Sanjay Mittal is currently in charge of the Heart failure program, non-invasive and clinical cardiology as well as Clinical research program at Medanta the Medicity. He is also director of Medanta Duke Research Institute. During his career, he has also been involved in imparting education in the form of teaching post-doctoral DNB candidates and other students. In his academic career spanning for nearly 30 years, he has immensely contributed to the field of cardiology. A recipient of many professional awards, he has an avid interest in conducting research and writing papers. He has more than 50 publications in various national and international journals and textbooks. He has performed several clinical trials and has also had many of his papers published in peer-reviewed journals. He has attended a large number of national and international conferences, delivered over 200 guest lectures, and conducted several workshops and training programmes. He is a member of numerous medical societies and professional organisations like Indian academy of echocardiography, Heart failure association of India, Cardiological society of India, International Medical Science Academy, API, IMA etc. Further, he has been involved in the organisation of more than 20 conferences and events in the field of Echocardiography, heart failure, clinical cardiology and research.
