INTRODUCTION:

Following his certification, Dr.  Vijay Vohra has over 35 years of expertise in the field of anaesthesiology. He oversaw the group that founded critical care and liver transplant anaesthesia at two of India’s largest hospitals, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Medanta-The Medicity. In addition, he has five years of experience as the Vice-Chairperson of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, where he oversaw a sizable department of forty anaesthetists and made policies. Over the past ten years, he has trained visiting and fellow anaesthetists and intensivists from 26 centres in India and overseas in transplant anaesthesia. Additionally, he has performed more than 1500 liver transplants. He developed and introduced the first hemodynamic and coagulation monitoring regimen for bloodless liver transplantation in India. He has been a reviewer of Journal of Clinical Anaesthesia, Journal of Anaesthesiology and Clinical Pharmacology, Journal of Clinical & Experimental Hepatology.
