INTRODUCTION:

At Medanta, Dr. Indivar Upadhyay serves as an Associate Director for Pediatric and Adult Cardiac Surgery. He has 20 years experience in cardiac surgery adult and pediatric, and rich experience in the field of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. He is an expert in conducting heart transplants and pediatric cardiac surgery. He has worked at Stanford University as a fellow and has participated in the heart transplant programme and the pediatric cardiac surgery program. His specialty is pediatric cardiac surgery, which includes arterial switch procedures and the rastelli technique. He was a member of Medanta’s inaugural heart transplant team. Participating in several aortic surgical procedures, he had a particular interest in abdominal aortic surgery, thoracoabdominal aortic replacement, and the Aortic Dissection Programme.
