INTRODUCTION:

Dr Ankur Mittal is presently working as Associate consultant in the Department of Nephrology and Kidney transplantation. He completed his nephrology training in the Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital in Nadiad, Gujarat. His areas of interest are kidney transplants and various forms of renal replacement therapy. He is skilled in carrying out interventions such PD catheter insertion, kidney biopsy, and creating vascular access for hemodialysis. He specializes in kidney transplants that are high risk and ABO incompatible. He has a strong interest in problems following kidney transplantation and is actively involved in the department’s research team.

• Placed 1 st Position in Quiz Competition at ISN West zone conference 2021.
• First place for a free paper presentation on the prevalence of genetic mutations linked to kidney diseases in renal transplant recipients—a single center’s experience—at the 2021 ISN West Zone Conference.
• A paper was presented at the 2021 Indian Society of Nephrology Conference.
• presented a paper at the 2020 Indian Society of Nephrology Conference titled “Single Center Experience: Parvovirus Disease Post-Transplant Presenting as Refractory Anemia.”
• presented a poster on the burden of genetic disorders and the use of pre-transplant genetic analysis in a patient with end-stage renal disease at the World Congress of Nephrology 2022, which was organized by the International Society of Nephrology (ISN).
• At the 31st annual conference of the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation, the paper “Prevalence of Genetic mutation associated with kidney disorders in renal transplant recipient – Single Center experience” took first place in the Mini oral Basic Sciences category.
