INTRODUCTION:

MBBS in 1988 and MD in 1992 from King George Medical College now King George Medical University, Lucknow, Diploma in Interventional Pulmonology from University of Lille, France. A fellow in sleep medicine at Prince Royal Alfred Hospital in Sydney, Australia, and a fellow in intensive care medicine at Erasme University Hospital in Brussels, Belgium. He is a fellow of the Indian Association of Bronchology, the Indian Sleep Disorders Association, and the National College of Chest Physicians. American Heart Association-certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider. At Royal Brisbane Women Hospital in Brisbane, Australia, Dr. Goel has received training in endobronchial ultrasound guided techniques such as EBUS-TBNA and Radial Probe Ultrasound guided EBUSRP biopsy of the lung lesion, particularly employing Cryo Biopsy technology. Guest speaker, faculty member, and chairperson at important national conferences in India pertaining to sleep medicine, pulmonary, bronchoscopy, and critical care. As a member of the organizing committee for the major pulmonary, bronchopulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine conferences, workshops, and symposiums in Delhi, he has played a significant role. As the course director, he has led a number of conferences, symposiums, and workshops in Delhi and throughout the nation. He was one of the first people in India to introduce sleep aids and non invasive ventilation. He initiated a bronchoscopy training program for intensive care unit intensivists in India. Twenty-five of his works have appeared in both national and international journals. The National College of Chest Physicians has awarded him a National Award for his work on pulmonary interventions. He was once an Executive Member of the Delhi and National Capital Region chapter of the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine.
