INTRODUCTION:

With more than 40 years of experience in the field of medical oncology, Dr. Vinod Raina is one of India’s top oncologists. Dr. Raina, a well-known fount of wisdom and expertise, served as Head of Medical Oncology and Professor at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (AIIMS). His areas of specialty include lymphomas and myelomas, as well as malignancies of the breast, lung, gastrointestinal tract, urology, and gynaecology. Additionally, he has personally carried out about 400 bone marrow/stem cell transplants for different malignancies. In addition, he has a wealth of scientific experience having served as Principal Investigator on almost 50 projects throughout his 24 years at AIIMS. Furthermore, he has over 24 years of experience at AIIMS and has been Principal Investigator on nearly 50 projects, accumulating a plethora of scientific knowledge. He was also one of the INDOX network’s co-founders. At AIIMS, he mentored about seventy residents and DM students, many of whom are now in high positions in India and abroad. He has joined FMRI in 2013 as the Director and Head of Medical Oncology and Haematology. In January 2020, he became the Chairperson of Oncosciences – Fortis Healthcare, having been promoted to Executive Director in 2017.
