INTRODUCTION:

Eye surgeon Dr. Mayank Bansal, MD (AIIMS), MRCSEd, FRCS(Glasg) is a graduate of the nation’s top medical school, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, where he worked for six years. There, he was awarded the Prem Prakash Trophy and, on the basis of merit, was given the Senior Residency’s top position. He has performed over 2000 eye surgeries, including sophisticated cataract and vitreo-retinal procedures. He receives membership in the Royal College of Edinburgh MRCSEd and the esteemed “Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS)” from Glasgow, UK. In 2013, the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) in London, UK, certified him as well. He was awarded an ICO Fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA, in 2014 in order to pursue advanced training and state-of-the-art technologies. Thus, he brought with him cutting-edge surgical methods. He has received an FAICO in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery from the All India College of Ophthalmology. Additionally, he served as a visiting physician at the University of Iowa in the United States. He specializes in treating the most prevalent retinal disorders that cause blindness. Diabetic Eye Disease Macular Degeneration Associated with Age Detachment of the retina Hemorrhage in the Vitreous Vein Occlusion in the Retina Prematurity Retinopathy Cataract Uveitis. He is a strong proponent of compassionate treatment and has been treating patients for more than ten years. He has a number of book chapters and publications in both domestic and foreign magazines. His presentations at the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) conferences demonstrate his active participation in academic conferences.
