INTRODUCTION:

Dr. Anil Saxena is Chairman of Electrophysiology & Cardiac Pacing and is a globally recognised expert in cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology. He helped create the Department of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute after arriving in 1989. With one of the most extensive experiences in the nation, he is a pioneer in the installation of ICDs and biventricular pacemakers in India. With over 35 years of experience, he has successfully performed thousands of electrophysiological studies and Radio Frequency Catheter Ablations for complex cardiac arrhythmias. His accolades include: The Indian Medical Association, Meerut Branch presented the Dr. O P Goel Memorial Oration Award on November 27, 2004; the Delhi Medical Association, New Delhi, presented the Dr. B L Kapoor Memorial Oration Award on June 23, 2000; and the Indian Medical Association, Dehradun Branch presented the Shri G L Raturi Oration Award on March 24, 2002. For his contributions and accomplishments in medicine, Bareilly Jaycees presented him with the Dr. O P Goel Memorial Oration Award (21-11-2001) from the Indian Medical Association, Meerut Branch, and the Prof. H S Mittal Memorial Oration Award (26-03-2000) from the Indian Medical Association, Meerut Branch Nagarik Samman Award (20-02-2005).
