INTRODUCTION:

Former AIIMS professor Dr. Milind Hote has joined Fortis Escorts Heart Institute in New Delhi as the director of the department of adult cardiothoracic surgery. Heart failure, pulmonary arterial hypertension, coronary artery disease, and MICS surgery are among the specialties of Dr. Milind Hote, who has over 20 years of experience. The Heart Surgery Centre in Innsbruck, Austria, trained him in robotic heart surgery. Among his accomplishments are the first successful lung transplant procedure at a public hospital in India, the establishment of a lung transplant program at AIIMS, the harvesting of over 40 heart donors, and the completion of fewer than 20 heart transplants at AIIMS. In addition to having the greatest series of robotic ASD closure procedures in India, he assisted in launching the heart transplant program at RML Hospital. He is a member of NOTTO, which develops policies for DCD, organ allocation, organ donation, and patient listing.
