INTRODUCTION:

Dr Parvathi U Iyer is currently Principal Director, Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care at the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute (FEHI), New Delhi – one of the busier Paediatric cardiac programs in India. In the field of pediatric cardiac critical care, she is a trailblazer. In 1995, she played a key role in establishing the Paediatric program, which was India’s first integrated program to include an intensivist. She received training in pediatric and neonatal intensive care at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney after graduating from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.
