INTRODUCTION:

Dr. Peeyush Jain is currently employed as the Head of the Department of Preventive Cardiology and the Director of Non-invasive Cardiology. Dr. Jain completed his MD (Medicine) at Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi (1973–1978) after earning his MBBS there. Additionally, in 1987, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship in cardiology (DM) at GB Pant Hospital and spent some time at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. In the areas of cardiovascular nutrition, diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol management, and the long-term treatment of heart and blood vessel disorders, Dr. Peeyush Jain is a globally recognized authority. In 1993, he became a member of the Fortis-Escorts Heart Institute and helped to create the nation’s first Department of Preventive and Rehabilitative Cardiology. In India at the time, the idea of avoiding heart disease through risk factor management and lifestyle changes was essentially unknown. In India and beyond, Dr. Peeyush Jain frequently serves as a guest faculty member at national and international conferences. From 1996 to 2006, he served as Editor in Chief of The Heart of the Matter, a bimonthly magazine of Heart and Diabetes Care. Dr. Jain has written sixteen books on health and medicine in both English and a number of Indian regional languages. Additionally, one novel was translated into Indonesian. He has over 100 publications published in health and medical journals.
