INTRODUCTION:

The esteemed Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), located in Pondicherry, is where Dr. Padman earned his degree. He holds a Diploma in Orthopedic Surgery from the National Board of Examinations. He spent ten years working in different orthopedic departments at the University Hospitals of Leeds and Sheffield in the United Kingdom. In 2008, he passed the intercollegiate test for Trauma and Orthopedics (FRCS Tr & Orth) and received his Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCS) during this time. He also conducted basic research on the biological response to traditional and more recent polyethylene used in arthroplasty as part of his orthopaedic training in the UK. In 2004, he received a Masters in Research from the University of Leeds. Following his appointment as a National Fellow in Paediatric Orthopedics, he completed his fellowship at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. He was introduced to the entire spectrum of pediatric orthopedics’ many specialties throughout his fellowship. Before going back to India in June 2009, he was employed at Sheffield Children’s Hospital as a Pediatric Orthopedics Consultant. Dr. Padman, who has 20 years of extensive experience in the field of orthopedic surgery, has worked for elite institutions such as Sheffield Children’s Hospital in the United Kingdom as a consultant in pediatric orthopedic surgery and trauma; Max Healthcare in New Delhi as a senior consultant in pediatric orthopedic surgery; and Fortis Memorial Research Institute in Gurgaon as a senior consultant in pediatric orthopedics.
