In brain surgery, a craniotomy is one kind. Accessing the brain requires removing a portion of the cranium, or skull. After the procedure, the bone is substituted. Brain tumors and aneurysms are typically treated by craniotomies.

• CT scan.
• MRI

TIME DURATION

The duration of the procedure is about few hours, but the hospital stay of the patient might be long, about 15–30 days.
